About Goshen Indiana
The city of Goshen is located in Elkhart County, Indiana. Goshen also serves as the county seat of Elkhart! The city was established in the northern part of the state near the Michigan border. This area of the state is a region known as Michiana. The city was originally platted in 1831, named after the Land of Goshen which is stated in the Bible as a place given to the Hebrews in Egypt. Gohsen is known for many things one of which is being a major hub for manufacturing RVs and their accessories. It is also the home to Goshen College, a private liberal arts college with affiliation to the Mennonite Church. One of the biggest county fairs in the entire United States, the Elkhart County 4-H Fair, is hosted in Goshen each year!
