The Ram 2500 Rebel is still a Ram 2500, therefore, it is eligible for the same two engine options. Under the hood, the first-ever Ram 2500 Rebel comes with a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 that delivers 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. The 2500’s eight-speed automatic transmission provides unique refinement many other heavy-duty trucks don’t achieve by using on-the-fly shift mapping and fully electronic operation. In addition to the impressive power, the standard V8 engine provides drivers with up to 16,870 pounds of towing capacity and a max cargo capacity of up to 3,140 pounds. Meanwhile, the available 6.7-liter standard output Cummins TurboDiesel inline six-cylinder engine lays down 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque. The turbodiesel engine is linked to a six-speed automatic transmission, delivering torque to the wheels at just 1,700 RPM. Lastly, the Ram 2500 Rebel comes standard with 4×4 with both 4WD High and 4WD Low modes.

The main purpose of any Ram Rebel is to provide a pickup truck capable of tackling tough off-road trails. To do this, Ram loaded it up with standard off-roading equipment. First, the Ram 2500 Rebel comes with Bilstein gas-charged shocks with five-link rear coil suspension for excellent wheel articulation for a smooth ride on rugged terrain and 11.1 inches of ground clearance. Additionally, the Rebel comes with 33-inch all-terrain tires with an aggressive tread pattern designed to grip any terrain. The Rebel’s standard limited-slip rear differential optimizes engine output and helps prevent a loss of traction. The electronic rear locker allows for even torque distribution to create enhanced traction. The 4WD Low mode can be selected to conquer mud, snow, or deep sand to achieve a lower gear ratio to improve the truck’s grip.

Although it looks similar to the Power Wagon at a quick glance, a closer look clearly differentiates the Rebel from the Power Wagon. The exclusive Rebel badges are a dead giveaway. The sport-performance hood of the Rebel also helps distinguish itself. Instead of the traditional Ram grille, the Rebel features a more aggressive fascia with bold ‘RAM’ lettering front and center. On either side of the wide grille are modernized headlight housings with crisp LED lights. Complimenting the LED headlights are LED fog lights on the lower section of the front fascia. Some other exterior features include 18-inch diamond-cut black aluminum wheels, 33-inch all-terrain tires, cargo tie-downs, underbody skid plate protection, LED taillights, and more. Optional features that can be added to the Rebel include a WARN Zeon 12 front-mounted winch rated for 12,000 pounds, a spray-in bedliner, and a deployable bed step.

The Ram 2500 Rebel is well-equipped both inside and out. Standard seating equipment is a front-row three-seat bench or two bucket seats, a second-row three-seat bench, and cloth upholstery. Meanwhile, Bristol leather is available with either a front-row bench or bucket seats. Lastly, Natura Plus leather comes exclusively with front bucket seats. The 2023 Ram 2500 Rebel comes with the all-new 12-inch digital gauge cluster, featuring nearly two dozen menu options for full customization. While an 8.4-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment touchscreen is standard, customers can select the 12-inch tablet-style touchscreen. Other standard features include wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, voice-activated navigation, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, and much more.
