Serving as a sturdy baseline for the 2023 Jeep Compass lineup is the Compass Sport. Under the hood is the new two-liter turbocharged inline-four engine linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission that powers Jeep’s highly capable Active Drive 4×4 system. Outside, you’ll see standard equipment, including remote keyless entry, LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, a black grille with chrome surrounds, black side mirror housings with heated/power-adjustable mirrors, and LED taillights. Meanwhile, the interior features a 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment touchscreen, which is the largest standard touchscreen in its class. Other interior features include push-button ignition, a 7-inch digital driver information screen between analog gauges, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a suite of advanced safety features. These safety features include but are not limited to automatic emergency braking, active lane management, drowsy driver detection, blindspot monitoring, and forward collision mitigation.

The next Jeep Compass trim level is the Latitude trim. The Latitude adds a touch of premium with upgraded features both inside and out. The Compass Latitude trim adds features like steering responsive LED fog lights, automatic high beam headlights, premium cloth/vinyl upholstery, a leather-wrapped shift knob, and Keyless Enter n’ Go passive entry. Jeep’s Cold Weather Group is optional for the Latitude trim and adds a heated steering wheel, windshield wiper de-icer, heated front seats, and remote engine start.

The Latitude LUX takes the Latitude trim and adds an array of new standard features. First, the Latitude’s available Cold Weather Group becomes standard equipment for the Latitude LUX, featuring remote start, heated seats/steering wheel, remote start, and windshield wiper de-icer. Meanwhile, the Latitude LUX also adds an 8-way power driver’s seat, rain-sensing wipers, rear park assist, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Next in the 2023 Compass trim-level lineup is the Limited trim. Standard exterior equipment for the Compass Limited includes turn signals integrated with the side mirror housings, a Gloss Black roof for a two-tone appearance, a Gloss Black grille with Chrome grille rings, the Cold Weather Group, 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, a Gloss Black fascia insert, and rain-sensing wipers. When you get inside the Compass Limited, you’ll find an automatically-dimming rearview mirror, leather-trimmed upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, and adaptive cruise control.

As the only Trail Rated Compass trim level, the Trailhawk trim comes exclusively with Active Drive Low 4×4, adding a two-speed transfer case to give drivers better control while off-roading at low speeds. In addition to the upgraded 4×4 system, the Compass Trailhawk gains an array of standard features to make off-roading even easier. This includes off-road tuned suspension, a one-inch factory lift for 8.8 inches of ground clearance, all-terrain tires, high-strength steel skid plates, signature red tow hooks, and a black-and-red themed anti-glare hood decal.
